The Bob Moses Ceramic Coating Process
Consultation and Inspection
The process begins with a thorough consultation to understand your specific needs and preferences. Our team will inspect your vehicle to assess its condition and determine the best approach for the ceramic coating application.
Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is crucial for a successful ceramic coating application. This involves several steps:
- Washing and Decontamination: We start by washing your vehicle using Sensha Power Foam to remove dirt, grime, and any surface contaminants. This ensures a clean surface for the coating to adhere to.
- Paint Correction: If necessary, we perform paint correction to remove swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation. This step restores the paint's clarity and gloss, providing a perfect base for the ceramic coating.
Application of Sensha World Crystal Glow
Once the surface is meticulously prepared, we apply Sensha World Crystal Glow, a high-quality SiO2 (silicon dioxide) glass coating from Japan. The application process involves:
- Hand Application: The ceramic coating is applied by hand, ensuring even coverage and attention to detail. The liquid coating bonds with the vehicle's surface, forming a hard, protective layer.
- Layering: Depending on the vehicle's needs and the desired level of protection, multiple layers of the coating may be applied. Each layer enhances the coating's durability and performance.
Curing
After the application, the coating needs time to cure properly. This involves:
- Initial Cure Period: The coating begins to harden immediately but requires 72 hours to fully cure. During this time, it is crucial not to touch the paint or expose it to any liquids for at least the first 48 hours.
- Final Cure Period: For the best results, avoid washing the vehicle for at least seven days. This allows the coating to achieve maximum hardness and durability.
Post-Application Inspection and Education
Once the coating has cured, we conduct a final inspection to ensure it meets our high standards. We then provide you with detailed instructions on how to maintain your ceramic coating, including:
- Washing Tips: Use Sensha soap and a foam cannon for regular washing. Avoid automatic car washes as they can damage the coating.
- Maintenance Products: We recommend using Sensha maintenance products to preserve the coating's longevity and effectiveness.
- Ongoing Care: Regularly wash your vehicle to prevent dirt buildup and maintain the coating's hydrophobic properties.
